The Woodland Baby and Toddler Room

From 3 months – rising 15 months

Our top priority in this age group is to welcome our new babies and families to ensure they are happily established in the room with our comprehensive settling-in program.
Babies' individual routines and needs are met, and we work with their likes and preferences such as their favourite songs, toys and books. All babies are unique little individuals and we understand and respect this.
We have lots of fun in our outdoor play area which leads directly off the baby room and utilise our big music room for singing, introduction to instruments and dance.

The Teddies Room

From 18 months – to 2 years

Like our baby room, our focus is on ensuring our children are happy and enjoying every moment of their day in nursery. We love to have stories, songs and rhymes to develop our language skills, as well as lots of messy play including baking, painting, gluing, gloop and play-doh, in order to develop our creativity. We also have lots of fun outside in our play areas, which promote health and well-being.

The Moonbeam's Room

From 1½  – 2 years

Our children are now making friends and starting to play independently. We are now harnessing their enthusiasm and love of learning to talk about the world around us and develop our language skills. Be creative through music, dance and craft activities. We have fun outside with free play activities including PE as well as planting, growing vegetables and mini beast hunts to name a few.

The Beehive Room Room

From 2½ - 3 years

We are beginning to learn about respecting our friends and their needs and wants. Kindness, consideration, taking turns and learning to be fair. There is a little more focus on literacy, numeracy, shapes and colours whilst learning through play. We have lots of fun spending time outside participating in PE, growing vegetables and fruit and learning about the world around us and celebrating our children's cultural festivals.

The Sunshine Room

Rising 3 – 3½   years

We are now taking gentle steps to prepare for school. Learning to put our coat on, toileting and playing independently with our friends. As in the Beehive Room, we are recognising our names and learning the letters in them, becoming confident with shapes, colours and numbers and introducing writing for meaning.

Rainbow Room

Rising 4 years and above

This is our final room before we go to school. To excite and enthuse our children, our topics include Space Week, Around The World Month and Science Week, where we are learning through our play and experiences. By using our Montessori equipment, we are learning mathematical language, phonics and writing and developing our knowledge and understanding of the world.
Our children look after our pet Giant Land Snail, stick insects, a wormery, an ant farm and baby ducklings during the spring to learn to care for living creatures and protect the world we live in.
By the time children leave us, we hope for them to be happy, confident and excited to take their next step to school.
